“I first started working with Nicole right after I signed up for my first marathon, NYC Marathon 2021. Being my first ever marathon, you could imagine the nerves. Nicole eased my mind and coached me through the whole training process. Nicole really takes a holistic approach to her coaching. She first started by understanding my current level of training, specific goals, injuries and concerns. With that info, she curated a marathon training program specific to me and continued to check-in throughout the process. The check-ins were vital to me throughout training. We’d debrief on long runs, weekly mileage wins and loses, nutrition, shoe recommendations, mindset, etc. My main concern was to get through the race without serious injuries. I am prone to knee and hip injuries from running and Nicole really took my concerns into account. She recommended I go through PT in addition to my training. During the race and the days that followed, I felt amazing, besides the expected aches and pains when running 26 miles!  

Although, I was working with Nicole virtually it felt like we were training together in person. Nicole is so knowledgeable about all things running and you can really tell she loves what she does and wants others to love it too. I can’t thank her enough for her time, knowledge and confidence in me to get me to race day. I thought my first marathon would be my last but, Nicole warned me that might not be the case. I will 100% hire Nicole again to coach me through it. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

I signed up for a half marathon on a whim on January 1st to give myself a goal to work towards in the new year. “I had already done a marathon with a coach, so when I signed up for Nicole to coach me through the NYC 1/2 marathon, I thought I already had all the tools necessary to be successful but I was wrong. Nicole first set up a consultation and a GAIT analysis to understand what my goals were, and where there were opportunities with my stride. After having a better understanding of my expectations she created a program that wouldn’t only work for my busy traveling schedule but also help me surpass goals in a way that was realistic. I wanted to do a marathon for my 50th birthday last April. But I wasn’t making it. So for my 50th birthday I decided on a half titled, “America’s Toughest Road Race”. But I still wanted to make it to the marathon level. I’m still in my 50th year anyway!

I had all kinds of aches and pains to work through, and all kinds of beliefs that maybe my body was just too “over the hill” to get me there. Not to mention dealing with the emotional heaviness of coping with my mom’s massive stroke in May.

“Signing up for my second half marathon was nerve-racking and full of doubts. Running had always been my weakness and my previous half marathon left me feeling defeated and like I could never be a runner. Nicole helped me step by step, and strategically individualized my training plan to build my endurance, speed, and confidence each week. “I signed up for the Honolulu marathon on a whim with very little running experience and had never ran over 4 miles at a time in my life. I signed up for this marathon thinking I could train on my own, but after realizing how crazy my upcoming schedule was I knew I could use some help and accountability. Nicole was the perfect person to help me reach my goals! She was extremely patient when creating my training plan because I am a flight attendant and work crazy hours, so having her to help me figure out what I needed to do on my layovers was so helpful. We did weekly check-ins where we discussed how I was feeling physically, but also how I was doing mentally. Training for a marathon required way more mental strength than I ever could have imagined, but Nicole was there every step of the way to encourage me and remind me why I started in the first place.  Throughout the training process, I encountered a few minor injuries, but we were able to rearrange the schedule, take time to heal, incorporated rehabilitating stretches and exercises and I was able to continue training and finish the race!

My first marathon was an experience I have never had before, leaving me feeling so accomplished and so proud of myself.… and believe it or not I had so much FUN! I plan to do more marathons in the future, and I know Nicole will be my go-to personal hype woman again when that time comes. I had a terrible experience with my first half marathon, thanks to a generic training plan that left me over-training and with a serious hamstring injury. When I decided to run my second half marathon, I knew I needed a trainer who could help me reach the start line healthy, stronger, and confident. That's when I met Nicole.

From day one, Nicole was incredibly supportive and understanding of my injury. She corrected my running form, helped me recover from my injury, and created a personalized training plan that was suited just for me. “Running the 2022 NYC Marathon is an experience I will never forget. On race day I felt fully prepared to conquer the course with the help of my amazing trainer, Nicole. I trained with Nicole for about 6 month prior to the marathon. We did some pre training before we got into the mist of marathon training and I truly am so grateful for that. Those short, easy runs were truly the ones that prepared me for that 26.2 miles. “Before I met Nicole I had only ran a 5k. I always wondered if I would be able to run further. Nicole coached me and helped me run my first half marathon! “After losing 25lbs and reaching my goal weight, I was looking for something new. Something I knew would challenge me. Before training for my half marathon, running was never a strength of mine. Every time I got on a treadmill I felt nervous; anything more than a mile would freak me out! After seeing that the next local half marathon was on my 25th birthday, it felt like a sign. Not sure if I would have signed up myself, but my friends, family and Nicole gave me the motivation to do it. Nicole literally showed me I can do what I think is impossible.
